Below are some of our students experiences:

"On 23rd October I was in a karate competition in Sheffield. It took a very long time to get there. The place was called the EIS and it was massive.
It was my first competition but I wasn’t scared. I was in kata for under 10s and the kata I did was called Pinan Nidan. I had to do it 3 times.

I was really excited when I saw that the other 2 children that were in the final with me had won bronze and silver because I knew I must have won gold! I couldn’t stop smiling.

"I have now attended four competitions representing Northwich Shukokai Karate that have been organised by the SKU.

Each time the atmosphere has been both friendly and exciting and I have felt welcomed by everyone there. During the days of the competitions I now recognise and talk to quite a few different people who I have seen at previous events.

The competitions themselves are a good opportunity to practise what I have learned at the club and also to provide a benchmark to my standard and improvement in karate.

I would recommend that everyone who practises karate at our club should try a competition at least once as the whole experience is very enjoyable and rewarding"
